Latest OnePlus 7T Pro Leak Highlights Ambitious Plans

OnePlus would be launching its updated handsets later this year on October 15th. Although that date has been questioned, the geekerati are expecting OnePlus to update the critically acclaimed OnePlus 7 Pro before the end of November.

While there is no official confirmation from OnePlus on the leaked date, the Shenzhen-based company is expected to continue with its six-monthly tick-tock schedule of releases. This allows for major changes in the summer launch and an update in the winter.

The major release was the advanced OnePlus 7 Pro (reviewed here on Forbes). OnePlus expanded the handset count to include at 5G version of the 7 Pro, and the OnePlus 7. The latter felt more like the evolution of the OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 from 2018, while the 7 Pro and the 7 Pro 5G pushed out the boat with improved cameras, screens, and specifications.

The question now is if all three handsets will pick up ’T’ releases, or just the ‘flagship’ Pro model. My personal feeling is that OnePlus has scaled up the operations, brought in carrier support, and is seen as part of the big league now… that means all three models will pick up upgrades. It’s the OnePlus way, it took the staff to where they are now, and just because the company is bigger does not mean it loses touch with its determination to keep everything fresh and new.
