I’ve been a sports journalist since graduation from North Texas State University in 1978. I’ve worked for MLB.com, the Chicago Tribune, Dallas Morning News, Dallas Times Herald, Florida Times Union and Shreveport Journal. I’ve covered every big event in American sports, including Super Bowls, NCAA Final Fours, Daytona 500s and every major golf tournament. I’ve written three books, including a biography of Ernie Banks, and currently am completing a book project with former MLB commissioner Bud Selig. While I love sports history my real passion is the same as a fan. I want to know what’s going to happen next, especially who is going to make a difference.
