I first started writing in 2017 during my undergrad at Berklee College of Music. As a musician by day and writer by night I covered rock and metal news, concerts reviews, and artist interviews for Berklee’s student newspaper, the Berklee Groove. Growing up in Northern Virginia, I discovered rock at early age when my dad bought me a copy of Led Zeppelin’s Mothership album. Shortly after Zeppelin I took a stroll past the ‘Metal Mt. Rushmore’ where I found Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Pantera. Among these bands, Metallica have and always will be my all time favorite band, as they developed my strong passion for music, but more so the electric guitar. As I learned the technical aspects of music and guitar playing, I garnered a deeper appreciation for these genres, and ultimately formed my career ambitions toward music and music journalism.
